Membership Categories

Membership eligibility is described fully in the NDICN rules

 FULL MEMBER:

Any person who is a qualified nurse employed in an Infection Control role who is a financial member of NZNO

  • A full member has full privileges
  • There is no current fee / levy for full members as funding is from the NZNO based on membership beein currently financial

 

ASSOCIATE MEMBER:

  • Qualified nurses and health care assistants who are not employed in an Infection Control role but have indicated an expression of interest on the NZNO Expression of Interest form
  • Qualified nurses and health care assistants must be financial members of NZNO unless they meet the criteria for retired nurse member.
  • Allied health professionals interested in Infection Conrol
  • Allied health professionals are not required to be a financial member of NZNO, but may belong to Health Professionals NZ.
  • Members of consumer groups interested in Infection Control who are not eligible for NZNO membership
  • Associate members will pay any levy to the National Division of Infection Control Nurses of New Zealand Nurses Organisationset by the Annual General Meeting.
  • Associate members may not hold office, propose nominations or motions or have voting rights

 

HONORARY MEMBERS:

Honorary membership may be conferred from time to time and shall be proposed by the National Committee and ratified at an Annual General Meeting

  • Honorary members have FULL MEMBER privileges
  • Honorary members have all the rights and responsibilities of a full member.

Membership Fees

New FULL Member:
Fee paid through NZNO membership

New ASSOCIATE Member:
NZ$55:00 unless fee paid through NZNO subscription

Membership Renewal:

Renewing your membership is done annually - due on the 31st March of each year. Associate Renewal = NZ$55:00

We, at NDICN, welcome members from overseas. Overseas members who will be Associate Members by definition of the constitution of the NDICN

Join Us Online

Become a member to gain access to ALL the members sections. Use the on-line form below or print off the downloadable form to send / fax to the Membership Coordinator.

1) Enter your details below, including what password you wish. NB: If you are stating that you are a FULL member of the NDICN, then YOU MUST ENTER YOUR CURRENT NZNO MEMBERSHIP NUMBER.

2) Press the 'SEND APPLICATION" button. This will log you as a ‘PENDING FULL’; or a ‘PENDING ASSOCIATE’; member.

3) Once the membership secretary has reviewed your details (usually within 2 – 3 days) the membership category will change from ‘PENDING …’ to either ‘FULL’; or ‘ASSOCIATE’; member status.

4) However, REMEMBER, if you are subscribing to FULL membership YOU need to Express an Interest with NZNO that you wish to be a member of the NDICN.This can be done by emailing Siara Lewis at NZNO on SiaraL@nzno.org.nz

5) You will then be sent an E-Mail at the address given in your application form,

6) And 'VOILA' you will be welcomed into the NDICN membership.
